We are seeking expressions of interest for a third-party event operator to bring Collingrove Homestead to life with public programs and private functions.
About the Property:
Conceived as a little piece of England and commenced in 1856, Collingrove was the Angas family home and headquarters for their considerable pastoral interests. This family made significant contributions to the growth and development of South Australia from its earliest days through political involvement, pastoral endeavor and philanthropic gesture. Collingrove was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1976.
Features of the property include:
- Magnificent lawns suitable for marquee.
- Five B&B style accommodation rooms, with contemporary bathrooms and reverse cycle A/C.
- On-site catering capacity.
- Bookable areas could include:
- Library, dining room and parlour spaces decorated with original furnishings.
- Stand alone “former office” building with externally accessed toilets.
- Storage for event equipment.
- Off-street parking.
- Security system.
The ideal event operator will:
1. Plan and execute a program of events across seven days, including but not limited to:
– Private hire for functions including weddings.
– Public ticketed events.
– Indoor & outdoor events.
2. Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, equipment rentals, catering, and vendor management, ensuring seamless execution on event days.
3. Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, and accessibility regulations, maintaining a safe environment for attendees and staff.
4. Collaborate with National Trust staff to promote events effectively through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and partnerships with local communities and organisations.
5. Maintain appropriate food service, alcohol and other licences for events.
6. Have and maintain appropriate public liability insurance.
7. Provide and maintain their own serving ware, event furniture and decorations.
8. Be an excellent ambassador for the National Trust.
9. Maintain positive relationships with National Trust staff, contractors and all other stakeholders.
The National Trust has ultimate responsibility for the property, including maintenance, power and water. Upgrades to amenities will be considered in line with revenue targets.
Profit Sharing:
The National Trust is open to annual or per event fee.
