Scope of Work
The works proposes the construction new heavy vehicle maintenance workshop, supporting facilities and associated infrastructure to support the Brockman 4 Mine fleet maintenance targets. The Construction works shall be adjacent the existing operating Brockman 4 MEM and NPI areas. The new MEM and the supporting infrastructure will be constructed in accordance with the detailed engineering design and specifications supporting data to meet governing regulatory and Rio Tinto Iron Ore standards.
In summary works include:
- General earthworks to the design grades;
- Detailed earthworks, drainage and pavement construction including tie in to existing roads and areas;
- Detailed slabs, foundation, bunds and other associated concrete works,
- Construction of a new MEM, offices and all the services;
- New HME Washbay and associated equipment;
- New HME Tyre change facility;
- Area wide services reticulation - power, communications, fire water, water (potable and raw) and waste water;
- Tie in's to existing utilities, services and infrastructure;
The Contractor mobilisation shall include all necessary facilities (office, crib, ablutions, services etc) to support the work crew during Site execution;
The Contactor must supply all required mobile equipment and service maintenance to complete the works.
Quality control management plan and inspection and test procedure (ITP) to be supplied and managed as per Australian and Rio Tinto Standards.
