Aurukun Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the construction of 2023 DRFA Betterment works - Aurukun Access Road Shoulder Stabilisation and Seal.

The works include the Stabilising and Sealing of 18 shoulder sites along the Aurukun Access Road. Councils works crews are currently filling scours and grading the sites, to be ready for handover to the stabilising and sealing contractor.

Commencement date for the works is dependent on the progress of preparatory works undertaken by Aurukun Shire Council works crew. These preparatory works include filling of shoulder scours, and grading and compacting to finished shoulder level. Preparatory works have commenced. It is anticipated that the prep works will be complete mid-September.
