Tender Description
The Lower Murray Levee Embankments (LMEs) are about 67 kilometres in length, located between Wellington and Mannum in South Australia.
The LMEs have been constructed along both sides of the River Murray to allow the reclamation of floodplains and wetlands for agricultural purposes. They were designed to prevent inundation of the irrigation properties at normal river height and also up to 1974 flood height.
The purpose of this Request for Quotation is to seek a suitable licensed pest, plant and animal control Contractor for the provision of the following various annual maintenance tasks necessary for the effective management of the government owned LMEs.
The deliverables include:
- Annual herbicide spray
- Annual vermin control program
- Over grown tree trimming
- Annual weed slashing
- Minor repair and maintenance tasks (damaged gates and fencing repair, fallen trees removal, tidy up and removal of the hard rubbishes, including wires and drapers)

A briefing session will be held on 10:00 am 31 July 2024.
Notes: Please meet for the briefing in at Burdett Irrigation Area – Murray Bridge under the Vehicle Bridge Crossing . See Appendix 4 for a location map on the RFQ Document.
A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
