Tender Description

OVERVIEW: The Council Regional Capacity Building (CRCB) Program for contaminated land is funded by the NSW EPA for various regions in NSW with the aims to build capacity in the management of contaminated land. The program ceased in June 2023, however; the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) has reached an agreement with the NSW EPA to deliver additional support which will exhaust the remaining funding. It is proposed that the funding is used to the benefit of the region by continuing supporting council officers working on the management of contaminated lands, activities need to be finalised by 31 March 2025.

Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) wish to establish a working partnership with a suitable Organisation for the provision of the expertise outlined below:

1. Conduct an resource/documentation review

2. Facilitate Working Groups with CRJO Participating Councils (x11)

3. Provide basic help desk support for CRJO Participating Councils (x11)

4. Facilitate training and workshops relating to basic Contaminated Land procedures/processes for CRJO Participating Councils (x11)

5. Attend project work in progress meetings with CRJO, NSW EPA, and other identified stakeholders.

The main objectives of the project is to promote:

- Contaminated land policies and procedures that comply with legislation

- Upskilling of council staff to improve knowledge of the legal duties and technical aspects of contaminated land management

- Support councils with the regulation of underground petroleum storage systems (UPSS)

All responses must be made by online submission. Any response made by any other means (open email, facsimile, post or in person) will not be considered.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 12:00PM (Noon) AEST on 07/08/2024 and submissions must be fully received by this time.

CRJO is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondents as it sees fit. staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal, faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
