Tender ID: 562636
Tender Details
Tender Description
The subject land (Narayen Station) is currently dedicated as a Reserve for Strategic Land Management (Environmental) purposes with the Department of Resources (Resources) appointed as sole trustee (Lot 1 on Plan WK184). Narayen Station is approximately 300km northwest of Brisbane and 40km west of Mundubbera within the North Burnett Regional Council Local Government Area. A Trustee permit exists over the whole of the subject land for the purposes of grazing and expires on 3 June 2025.
Narayen Station was previously established as an educational rural training facility. There are multiple buildings that exist on the property including an administration building, dwellings, dormitories, a workshop, a machinery shed, vehicle sheds, storage sheds and hay sheds. Other infrastructure on the land includes cattle yards, fenced paddocks and water infrastructure such as tanks, dams, bores and troughs.
Before the land can be transferred, the identified water infrastructure will require repair and replacement. Resources has committed to undertake repairs and replacement of the water pipeline infrastructure to allow the new owner, access to a reliable water supply throughout the property for stock and domestic water requirements. Aging water pipelines and water storage tanks are no longer meeting the current demands.
Stage 1: Water Infrastructure Specification and Design
Undertake an analysis of the water requirements on Narayen Station and provide a detailed site specification plan for construction. This will include:
• Technical analysis, interpretation, and solar pump options, to deliver water to storage points (tanks and troughs).
• Technical analysis of the condition of the bores. This may include testing to determine flow capacity and water quality.
• Design a plan for the water pipeline infrastructure including water tank storage options. This includes specifications to meet current stock and domestic water requirements.
Note – It will be at the discretion of the Department of Resources if they wish to exercise the progression of Stage 2 with the Supplier that was successful in being awarded Stage 1.
Stage 2: Project Management and Installation
• Project management of worksite and overall operations.
• Install agreed-upon water infrastructure.
• Decommission and remove unsafe and unrepairable old equipment.
The QLD Globe map can be viewed here. Refer to attachment 1 for photos of existing infrastructure.
The map identifies all the current water infrastructure located at Narayen Station.
