The Position

The contractor will work within the Research Programs and Services Branch supporting the delivery of a software platforms. The contractor will work with domain experts within a small project team to test or model business concepts and requirements. The teams deliver products via an adapted Scrum methodology.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

As a member of the ARC's testing and quality assurance team deliver services to the branch and business stakeholders by:

1. the use of Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Microsoft Test Manager tools to provide high level testing and analytical.
2. using sound communication and interpersonal skills to work positively and effectively with our business counterparts to ensure successfully software delivery.
3. the provision of technical quality assurance through application of sound testing methodologies.
4. have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to capture and model business requirements
5. have strong analytical, problem solving, quality acceptance and documentation skills
6. be able to apply their knowledge of industry standards and best practice to requirements analysis, management and modelling
7. experience on an enterprise level and experience interacting and communicating with functional managers
8. have knowledge and experience in agile development methodologies,
9. be capable of providing high-quality backlog items to reflect business requirements
10. be a self-managing and self-starting individual
