The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objective of procuring a supplier to deliver the Supported Tenancies for Young Parents initiative in the Cairns Local Government Area and surrounds from 1 November 2024 to 30 June 2028 in accordance with the Homelessness Program Guidelines Specifications and Requirements. The service will target young parents aged 16-25 who are at of risk of homelessness and residing in or are eligible for social housing and will:

• deliver tailored, wraparound, specialist, mobile-support worker services for young parents who face a range of housing challenges and additional vulnerabilities.
• support young parents sustain and stabilise housing tenancies including assistance navigating and access eligible housing products and services.
• link young parents with local community and specialist services to continue to build social and economic independence, parenting skills and community support links. This may also include engagement with education, training services, and encouraging positive employment outcomes
