Tender Description

The Reducing Gender-Based Violence Research Group (ReGEN) at La Trobe University has been funded by the Australian Federal Department of Social Services (DSS) to conduct national research into the prevention of sexual violence. The research involves developing, implementing and evaluating multiple small, medium and large sexual violence primary and secondary prevention programs across Australia. Via this EOI, the ‘Partners in Prevention of Sexual Violence’ (Partners in Prevention) project is a 3-year study that aims to build the evidence base for Australia on the primary and secondary prevention of sexual violence. The Partners in Prevention project builds on the Sexual Violence Prevention Theory of Change developed by ReGEN in 2021. For this EOI, the approach includes adapting and trialling existing and/or promising sexual violence prevention programs across the identified settings within the Theory of Change. Each organisation and their program selected via this EOI will receive the opportunity to develop their program over a six-month period. The purpose of this six-months will be to work closely with the Research Team to:

  • Adapt the program
  • Develop the evaluation
  • Identify a practice champion
  • Develop a more detailed budget, ethics, risk management and project plan.

Organisations will receive an incentive payment of $7,500 and an additional $12,000 paid over a six-month period ($2,000 per month).

At the end of the six-months, the Research Team will assess the programs, and those selected will be implementation and evaluated.

Please read the Information Pack for more details on the project and the EOI and implementation selection process.
