Tender Description
EOIs are sought to undertake a rapid evaluation for CRC TiME. Please provide written responses addressing the below by close of business.
The EOI should include:
• an overview of respondents’ capability and capacity to undertake this work.
• an outline of how you would undertake the work.
• evidence of understanding of CRC TiME’s purpose and scope.
• a proposed budget.
Following review of EOIs, CRC TiME may select a single organisation and work with the organisation to develop a full proposal and work plan, or we may select a shortlist for interview and then request a full proposal from shortlisted organisations.
We will advise EOI respondents of the outcome by mid-September.

Background
CRC TiME is a Cooperative Research Centre working to bring together diverse partners to help reimagine and transform what happens when mining ends.
Established in 2020, we are the world’s only research organisation dedicated to improving mine closure and post-mine transition outcomes.
CRC TiME is funded through the Australian Government’s CRC Program and through the financial and in-kind support of our more than 75 participant organisations. CRC TiME funds research projects across multiple disciplines and conducts a range of engagement and outreach activities to facilitate change.
Context
We are now in our fifth operating year, and we want to understand our progress. While we undertake a range of ongoing monitoring activities, we would value additional support to further understand our progress and impacts.
Task
CRC TiME is seeking a contractor to undertake a rapid evaluation. The purpose of the evaluation is to:
• review progress against our mission, commitments and objectives. These are outlined in the CRC TiME 2021-24 Strategic Plan as well as supporting research, impact and First Nations Inclusion strategies and frameworks.
• further understand partner and key stakeholder satisfaction with this performance.
• identify some of the impacts we may have contributed.
Scope
This task involves a strategic level evaluation of CRC TiME’s activities. It is intended to be undertaken as largely desktop exercise with some opportunities for partner and other engagement.
Desired outcomes
From the evaluation, we hope to:
• gain further understand of our progress to date, including of intended and unintended impacts.
• demonstrate transparency and commitment to continuous improvement.
• gain insights that help us better target activities during our next phases.
