Flinders Shire Council (FSC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from a suitably qualified and experienced professional to be appointed as Chairperson of its Internal Audit & Risk Committee for the period 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2028.

The Audit & Risk Committee convenes at least three (3) times per year to discuss matters relating to Corporate and Financial Governance. The primary objective of the Audit & Risk Committee is to provide oversight and advice to Council and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on issues concerning internal audit, external audit, financial statements and reporting, risk management, internal controls and legislative and policy compliance.

Expressions of Interest should be submitted along with a Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing recent and relevant skills and experience in finance, business, accounting, risk management and/or internal audit.
