Summary of opportunity and Queensland Health's objectives:

The Community Services Funding Branch (CSFB) has issued this Invitation to Offer (ITO) on behalf of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Strategy and Planning Branch (MHAOD SPB) to procure a non-government organisation (NGO) to deliver a mental health Youth Residential Rehabilitation Service (YRRS) based at Caboolture within Metro North Hospital and Health Service (HHS) from 1 January 2025 until 30 June 2028.

The purpose of this ITO is to purchase non-clinical psychosocial interventions designed to provide a YRRS service option, for young people aged 16-21 years in the broader Metro North HHS catchment, whose treatment and recovery are better suited to longer-term mental health support and treatment in a rehabilitative and residential setting in the community.

This procurement aligns with the commitments under Better Care Together: A plan for Queensland’s state-funded mental health, alcohol and other drug services to 2027 (Better Care Together) which supports the continued growth and development of community-based, recovery-oriented MHAOD models and services. The priority one action under Better Care Together recognises the need to boost core capacity across community bed-based services.
