Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is seeking a suitable contractor for pipeline maintenance services for GMW’s pipeline systems and other assets in the Swan Hill and Loddon Valley areas.

These pipelines comprise:

• Swan Hill area totals:168kms
• Pipe size range: 40mm -1575mm
• Pipe types: PVC, HDPE, RC (Reinforced concrete), Asbestos

Past experience has indicated approximately 70 to 100 pipeline repair incidents occur annually on these assets. The majority (80-90%) of services will be centred around Swan Hill.

Pipelines include:

• Swan Hill – Nyah, Woorinen and Tresco.
• Loddon Valley – Normanville, East Loddon and Mitiamo.

The aim is to establish a sole supplier who can offer the below services (but not limited to):

• Emergency pipeline repairs
• Emergency irrigation channel bank repairs
• Non-emergency works (repair/replacement of gear boxes and valves, replacement of air valve shafts, repair of PVC flush pipes, de-weeding of drains etc)
