Tender Description
Phillips Creek Bridge is an existing two-lane bridge located on the Saraji Road crossing Phillips Creek 11.8 kilometres (km) north of Dysart. Phillips Creek Bridge connects Dysart with Moranbah and is currently utilised by local public traffic predominantly related to the local coal mining and agriculture industry. Phillips Creek is mapped as an ephemeral, major waterway under the Queensland Vegetation Management Act 1999 (VM Act).
The Project is located approximately 250 km southwest of Mackay in central Queensland.
The existing Phillips Creek Bridge currently involves a steep dip into Phillips Creek. The proposed Project works involves the construction of a new bridge with approaches to be situated to the west alongside and higher than the existing bridge. The new bridge and highway alignment will alleviate flood risk from Phillips Creek on the Saraji Road between Dysart to Moranbah and improve driver safety and regional connectivity. The Project requires the demolition of the existing bridge and rehabilitation of the road alignment approaches.
Isaac Regional Council require a qualified and experienced Contractor to implement the Works in accordance with the provided specification and drawings under the contract.
