Barwon Coast is seeking consultants to develop a Master Plan for 19km of coastal Crown land reserve it manages between Ocean Grove and Breamlea.

Barwon Coast looks after the beaches, public open space, caravan parks, flora and fauna, buildings and infrastructure, coastal trails, public amenities and community facilities. Barwon Coasts does this through strategic and adaption planning, natural resource management, public access and infrastructure management, volunteer coordination, community education, and accommodation operations.

Planning and management for these aspects is directed by Barwon Coast's Coastal and Marine Management Plan 2020-2025 (CMMP). A strategic action in the CMMP is to develop a master plan for each precinct. The Caravan and Camping Parks Master Plan was completed in 2023. The next phase is to develop a Master Plan for the remaining landscape precincts and Breamlea foreshore (which isn't covered in the CMMP). This will translate the guiding principles of the CMMP into a program of specific actions for the use, care, improvement and management of the precincts.
