Tender Description
Lower Murray Water currently utilises serial radio networks for the monitoring and control of water, sewer, and irrigation assets across several districts.
Design and construction of selected radio telemetry networks to transition from serial to ethernet radio protocols which will also include the upgrading of several Antennas, DC Power Supplies, RTUs and PLC’s and the interconnection of all associated hardware, RTUs PLCs and SCADA servers.
The Design and Construction tender will encompass six separate districts each requiring the establishment of a new ethernet base station radio to operate alongside and in parallel with existing serial base station radio(s) until all associated remote site radios have been upgraded.
The project sites are as follows:
- Mildura Urban (Water and Sewer) - 1 Base Station and 13 remote sites.
- Mildura Rural (Irrigation) – 1 Base Station and 1 remote site (to service a future 16 remote sites).
- Merbein Rural (Irrigation) – 1 Base Station and 9 remote sites.
- Red Cliffs Rural (Irrigation) – 1 Base Station and 8 remote sites
- Millewa Rural (Irrigation / Remote Township) – 1 Base Station and 5 remote sites
- Kerang Urban (Water and Sewer) 1 – Base Station and 7 remote sites
The number of each project’s site’s remote locations (remote radio sites) my vary.
High priorities in the design and construction phases will be safety and business continuance with minimal operational disturbance of LMW networks during the transition phases of construction.
This project will comply with the Local Jobs First Policy as outlined in the Victorian Local Jobs First Act 2003 (updated October 2022) and the Social Procurement Framework, in accordance with the Standing Directions 2018 under the Financial Management Act 1994.
Site Visit
A briefing session will be held at 741 - 759 Fourteenth St, Mildura, Victoria, Australia, 3502 on 13 January 2025 10:30 am.
Notes: PPE - Eye Protection, Steel Cap boots, Hi-Vis Vest Required. Also, full length shirt sleeves & pants to be worn.Site visits will be held over 3 days, only day 1 (13/01/2025) is mandatory.
A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
