The Joint Organisation invites suitably qualified and experienced persons to submit a Tender for mattress and soft furnishing collection services upon the conditions set out in this RFT.

The Joint Organisation has issued this RFT on behalf of the Participating Councils.

The Joint Organisation will manage the tender process, but the Selected Tenderer/s will be required to enter in a Contract with each individual Participating Council.

The Joint Organisation is seeking Mattress and Soft Furnishing collection services and the associated purchase of mattress bases, couch cushions, and other agreed materials and recyclable items from the Participating Councils' primary waste management centres. The collection of bins and transportation is to be performed by the Contractor unless otherwise advised. The service Contract duration sought by the councils is for two years with opportunity to extend by two years.

The successful contractor will be issued with a contract for the provision of their services and collection of mattresses and soft furnishings from each council. All relevant terms and conditions and the full proposal submission provided by the contractor will form part of the contract.

A more detailed brief and the nature and type of the Services is set out in the Specification. Tenderers should note that a circular option is preferred for this RFT, prioritising the recycling and reuse of materials.
