Tender ID: 565074
Tender Details
Tender Description
Monash University is committed to an innovative and strategic approach towards its IT infrastructure, adopting a multi-cloud strategy to enhance its operational efficiency, agility, and resilience. Our current infrastructure is a mixture of on-premise private cloud capabilities with a robust public cloud presence, offering a balanced blend of security, control, and scalability to meet the dynamic needs of our operations.
Monash has predominantly used VMWare for Enterprise compute virtualisation. We operate four segregated Private Cloud capabilities. Monash is looking to expand its virtualisation base with an alternative virtualisation platform. The scale of each deployment will be selected based on the University's needs and the nature of each platform.
The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to:
1. Select a virtualisation technology that can effectively operate in parallel with our existing VMware infrastructure, allowing us to allocate and manage our hardware resources between the selected technology and VMware
2. Establish a panel of suppliers to provide Monash with the best value licensing for Broadcom VMware and the selected virtualisation technologies. This panel is expected to deliver the necessary professional services to build and enhance the selected virtualisation platform and Monash's VMware infrastructure.
Supplier(s) will not be required to supply any hardware components as part of this RFT. However, the successful Supplier(s) will be expected to provide specifications and requirements for the hardware to ensure compatibility and optimal performance of the solution. Supplier(s) will be required to ensure that they can efficiently provide the services to Monash in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This includes scheduling various meetings, deployment tasks, and support-related activities within Monash's working hours to ensure seamless collaboration and implementation.
Respondents must be Authorized Australian partners (professional service providers) and resellers of the proposed virtualisation software and services
