Tender Description
Preliminary plans and specifications have been completed and the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) are now seeking to appoint a principal contractor for the design and construction of the new Macquarie Perch Captive Breeding Centre Building at the VFA Snobs Creek Fish Hatchery (455 Goulburn Valley Hwy EILDON 3713).
The new captive breeding centre will be capable of producing up to 500,000 Macquarie perch and 500,000 trout cod both of which are recovering native recreational species, each year for stocking into Victoria waterways.
A maximum construction budget of $1.7M (GST exc.) has been allocated to the final design and construction of the new building which must be completed by 30 June 2025. Noting the principal contractor will also be repsonsible for obtaining all relevant permits and approvals on behalf of the VFA.
