Tender Description

A vendor is sought to provide development resources to deliver the build phase of a new Mine Rehabilitation Portal (MRP) application.

Project goals

Deliver a new MRP application

Scope

This is an open tender available to vendors who are registered on the NSW Government’s ICT Services Scheme (SCM0020) within the M Category (Systems and solutions).

The NSW Resources Regulator (the ‘Regulator’) uses the Mine Rehabilitation Portal (MRP) to collect spatial data about mine rehabilitation and store it in a central database. The MRP allows mining companies to submit, analyse and report on their rehabilitation activities and also assists the Regulator in monitoring and regulating rehabilitation requirements for mining activities. The MRP is currently hosted on external assets that are nearing the end of their life.

A project to move the MRP capabilities onto Government managed infrastructure is underway. This will also future proof the MRP by developing the replacement on software that has ongoing support.

A high-level set of requirements and design has been developed by the project team. Final design and build of the application followed by testing is now required.

A vendor is sought to provide development resources to deliver the required build. The vendor will provide GIS developer resources to finalise design, build and test the new application under the direction of the DIO project manager.

The vendor resources will work with the Digital Information Office (DIO) and other vendors to deliver the application.
