The project will take place in Yuendumu at Lot 523, the location of the softball oval, and Lot 631, where the footy oval is situated. Yuendumu is located 290 km northwest of Alice Springs along the sealed Tanami Highway, which branches off the Stuart Highway 25 km north of Alice Springs.

The objective of this project is to upgrade the community sports and recreational facilities, ensuring they are secure, of high quality, and meet Australian standards. The works includes building a new playground as identified by the community, supply and installation of a play system with shade structure and Solar lights installation.

The Construction works involved in this project are as listed below:

1. Installation of a play system under the proposed shade structure and a two-bay swing set with soft fall material as per the installation manual (WillPlayplay equipment will be supplied by CDRC).
2. Supply and installation of a fence around the playground, including 1x emergency vehicle access gate and 2x pedestrian access gates.
3. Installation of 6Solar lights around the oval area and within the playground area.

The contractor is responsible for all mobilisation and demobilisation costs, including transport, travel, ongoing administrative expenses,

Equipment and machinery hiring and accommodation costs.

CDRC anticipates minimal digging/leveling, as per the site plan. Furthermore, all work must be completed in compliance with WHS regulations.

Contractors are required to verify all measurements/dimensions before commencing onsite works and ordering materials. The contractor is required to provide all timestamped photos during the construction period, including excavation depth, reinforcement, covers, and any other necessary photos
