The South Australian Government is implementing the Hydrogen Jobs Plan (HJP). The HJP centres on the large-scale delivery of hydrogen production facilities, hydrogen fueled power generation, and associated hydrogen storage. The HJP seeks to leverage the high-quality renewable energy, geographic and economic characteristics of the Whyalla and broader Upper Spencer Gulf region to stimulate industry investment in hydrogen and create a globally competitive clean energy industry.

The HJP commits funding of $593 million to the delivery of significant hydrogen infrastructure by December 2025, comprised of 250 megawatts of electrolysers, 200 megawatts of power generation to be powered by hydrogen, and a hydrogen storage facility.

The Office of Hydrogen Power South Australia (OHPSA) has entered into an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement with ATCO Australia Pty Ltd and BOC Limited (ABC) including accommodation deliverables to house the HJP construction workforce.

An accommodation solution(s) is required to house the construction workforce anticipated in the Whyalla region to construct the HJP hydrogen production, power generation and storage facilities.

The HJP accommodation project is a high complex and high value project it is essential that these accommodation projects are managed by highly skilled and competent accommodation project management support resources with significant experience and a demonstrated track record of delivering similar complex accommodation solutions.

OHPSA is seeking a highly skilled Accommodation Project Management Support resource to assist OHPSA in securing both temporary accommodation suitable for a construction workforce and a legacy accommodation solution that can house the construction workforce and leave a legacy for the Whyalla region at the conclusion of the project.
