The Low Voltage Critical Supplies (LVCS) program is part of the PTA Resilience Program, which includes a range of projects aimed at reducing the impact of significant events on the rail network and the subsequent disruptions that affect the Government’s key objective to provide safe, accessible, and efficient transport services to Western Australians. The LVCS system controls and manages the supply of mains power at numerous sites across the metropolitan rail network. It provides primary and secondary power to the signalling, train control, traction power, and communications systems.

The Public Transport Authority Project Delivery (PPD) is delivering several LVCS projects that require the support of organisations primarily with Low Voltage Electrical skills and other disciplines, including but not limited to Communication, Civil, Structural and Architectural, Mechanical and Hydraulic, Fire, SCADA, etc.

The works include upgrading existing Standalone Equipment Rooms (SER) and constructing a new Low Voltage Rooms (LVR) at various sites. The design at 100% (Issue for Tender) has been prepared by SMEC Company as PTA’s Consultant, and the IFC version will be issued upon Contract Award.

This project is time-critical to ensure that key project milestones are met. The outcomes and requirements will be clearly articulated in the tender documents, and a briefing will be held to ensure that tenderers understand the Public Transport Authority’s requirements.

Site Visit

A site visit will be held at Market Street, Perth on 17 September 2024 10:00 AM.

Respondents intending to attend the briefing session must contact the enquiries officer nominated on page 1 of this Request to register by no later than Thursday 12 September 12pm.

NOTE: Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment must be worn for the site briefing including long pants, Hi-Vis long sleeved shirt or Hi-Vis vest, hard hat or bump cap, safety glasses and safety footwear.
