The South Australian Government through the Office of Hydrogen Power SA (OHPSA) is harnessing South Australia’s abundant renewable energy resources to accelerate the growth of South Australia’s hydrogen industry, establish a globally competitive export offer and continue our state’s world leadership in the clean energy transition to safely and sustainably generate the energy and low carbon products of the future.

OHPSA will be undertaking various activities during the term of the engagement that require Aboriginal engagement and cultural heritage management requirements, including:

• Negotiation of Native Title Agreements with the Barngarla Determination Aboriginal Corporation (BDAC), which may include progression of economic participation commitments.
• Cultural Heritage surveys with BDAC.
• Development and implementation of Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Monitoring Agreements with BDAC.
• Managing a range of specialist consultants across a wide range of disciplines (land access, cultural heritage, environmental approvals, native title, legal, regulatory, human resources, procurement, commercial, engineering, stakeholder engagement, communications, power etc).
• Design investigations including field-based activities (survey, onshore and offshore geotechnical investigations, unexploded ordnance (UXO) survey etc) which will include Cultural Heritage monitoring.
• Undertaking Major Contractor procurement processes, including early works and preparing for project delivery.
