Project goals
Supply and Installation of Lookout & Walking Track Balustrades & Bridges at Pulpit Rock Lookout at Blackheath
Scope
Pulpit Rock Lookout & Reserve were heavily impacted by the black summer bushfires in 2019/20 with the majority of visitor infrastructure being damaged or destroyed. This included over 300 metres of balustrade, over 400 timber steps, the toilets, shelters, picnic settings and signage.
Council has been undertaking an extensive, staged program of planning & repairs that will ensure the renewed infrastructure supports high-quality visitor and community experiences, and this staging has reflected the available resources and funding from a range of budgets.
The last of the bushfire damaged repair works required at Pulpit Rock Lookout & Reserve focus on the lookout & walking track balustrades & bridges for the lower area.
