Tender Description
South Gippsland Water (SGW) are seeking to install two new progressive cavity sewer pumps each with an inline muncher at Waratah Bay Sewage Pump Station (SPS). As part of these works the existing submersible SPS pumps and associated pipe work, fittings, valves, flowmeter pit and flowmeter will need to be decommissioned and removed.
The associated works are as shown on the attached tender documents.
The Waratah Bay SPS Upgrade works shall include but are not limited to:
• Construction of a new concrete pump station foundation, including penetrations for conduits for cabling to new equipment and instrumentation;
• Construction of new end wall for the pump station enclosure;
• Procurement and installation of sump pit and DN80 DWV uPVC drain to the existing incoming maintenance hole;
• Procurement and installation of retractable roll on and off pump enclosure including wall cladding, slab, fixings, supports and louvers;
• Procurement and installation of two progressive cavity pumps (11kW) ;
• Procurement and installation of two munchers (1.5kW);
• Supply and installation of all associated pipe work, valves fittings and instrumentation for the pump station as shown in the drawings;
• New crushed rock around new pump station slab and drainage;
• New crushed rock access track;
• Supply and installation of PE pump station outlet pipe to existing rising main including connection and associated valves and fittings;
• Relocation and reinstatement of road and town signs as per council requirements;
• Supply and installation of instrumentation for the new pump station, wet well, incoming maintenance hole and emergency storage structure;
Construction of new switchboard slab and concrete between switchboard and pump station.
Including penetrations for conduits for required equipment and instrumentation cabling.
Decommissioning and removal or filling of existing SPS equipment, pipe work or pits after completion of proposed Waratah Bay SPS Upgrade works shall include but are not limited to:
• Decommissioning, removal and disposal of existing pumps in the existing wet well and associated pipework and fittings;
• Removal of existing non-return valve and gate valve in the valve pit to be retained by SGW and placed into storage;
• Replacement of existing valve cover with a stainless steel plate;
A mandatory site meeting and inspection will commence at 10.00am on Tuesday 01st October at 145 Gale Street Waratah Bay. Contractors are required to register their intention to attend with Geoff James with at least 24 hours' notice.

A briefing session will be held at 145 Gale Street, Waratah Bay, VIC, Australia, 3959 on 1 October 2024 10:00 am.
A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
