The Schools USI project is seeking a supplier to develop and define a service model with alignment with overarching project management framework requirements. The supplier will be required to complete the delivery milestones outlined across a period of approximately 7 months.

The service model for the Schools USI project will ensure that the user engagement focuses on improving the schools USI operating model adoption by applying an end-to-end user-centred approach. The main benefits will be enhanced stakeholder confidence and improved business processes focused on a user-centred experience from engagement initiation, supported through the system launch and finalised as a business-as-usual continuation of the service model. The service management design will require partnership with the operational team to define clear ICT Service Management practices.

This includes but not limited to standard operating procedures, service design, value stream mapping, triage management and service catalogue. This work will address a wide range of potential issues, requests, risks, and management tactics that will need to be captured throughout this engagement. The service model will require significantly detailed information and will need to satisfy the concerns of all stakeholder group (see rfq for listing of stakeholder groups).

The Schools USI project incorporates new activities, systems and databases, and new methods/procedures in issuing a unique student identifier (number) to every Australian school student. This unique identifier will travel with them from kindergarten throughout school and into vocational education and training (VET) and higher education.

The operating model for the Schools USI reflects the differentiated environment of responsibility for this project. The overarching project management framework requirements will ensure consistency of documentation development and project management best practices.
