Douglas Shire Council is seeking services of a suitable Contractor to perform remediation work at the Rex Creek Intake, which supplies all of Mossman and Port Douglas drinking water.

During Tropical Cyclone Jasper, the intake was damaged and is now difficult and unsafe to maintain. Council engaged a design consultant to develop drawings, which form the basis of this scope of work.

The aims of this Project are twofold:

• To remediate the badly damaged inlet structure to restore functionality and the ability to be safely maintained.

• Provide safe access to the Inlet Structure for Council Maintenance staff.
