Tender Description
Council is looking to engage a suitably qualified design engineer to develop a landfill cap design compliant with Best Practice Environmental Management (BPEM) standards for Gully B & C and to design an upgraded leachate management system for Riddell Road Landfill (the Site). This includes conducting an assessment of leachate generation potential following the implementation of the final cap.
The goal of the Service is to deliver a Detailed Design which is 100% complete for construction that enables the Site to be utilised for parkland and other recreational purposes, in alignment with the Mount Holden Master Plan.
Under the terms of this Contract, the Consultant will:
(a) prepare an options brief of possible cap and leachate treatment configurations at the Site (Phase 1: Options Assessment, Site Monitoring and Investigation);
(b) prepare concept plans based on the selected options, demonstrating design contours that align with Site existing contours to minimise earthworks and avoid cutting into existing waste where grades allow and are within BPEM requirements(Phase 2: Conceptual Design); and
(c) prepare detailed design documents based on the concept plans for Construction Environmental Auditor verification and EPA approval (Phase 3: Detailed Design).
