Health Infrastructure will deliver 30 additional ambulance stations as part of the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program to provide local paramedics with modern, purpose-built infrastructure to better meet the emergency medical care needs of communities across NSW.
OVERVIEW
New ambulance stations will be built to provide local paramedics with modern, fit-for-purpose infrastructure to better meet the emergency medical care needs of communities across NSW.
The NSW Government has committed $615.5 million to the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program.
BENEFITS
The project will:
- Improve geographic coverage and optimise paramedic response times
- Deliver contemporary working environments for paramedics and improve workforce sustainability
- Better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care.
SCOPE
Health Infrastructure is working with NSW Ambulance and other key stakeholders across government to identify potential sites for new ambulance stations. Stations are located at places which optimise ambulance response times and meet the future health needs of the community.
LOCATIONS
Health Infrastructure is working with NSW Ambulance and other key stakeholders across government to identify potential sites for other new ambulance stations.
Sites to deliver new ambulance stations have been announced at:
- North Sydney
- South Windsor
- Oran Park
- Berowra.
STATUS
Planning is underway for all locations.
Construction timeframes will be determined once planning is further progressed and the community will continue to be updated as the Program progresses.
Expressions of Interest are being sought for suitable sites to build new ambulance stations as part of the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program.
An Expressions of Interest process for land will be undertaken at Cherrybrook, Kincumber, Raby, Edgeworth, Glenmore Park, Dee Why, Sutherland, Bargo, Berkeley Vale and Doonside.
New stations are located at places which optimise ambulance response times and meet the future health needs of the community. All sites nominated will undergo a thorough evaluation to ensure they meet the needs of the community and NSW Ambulance.
Health Infrastructure is leading delivery of the infrastructure program, in partnership with NSW Ambulance.
Expressions of Interest must be received in the correct format via the EOI data room by the closing date to be considered.
