The State of Queensland through Queensland Health, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ) on behalf Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) from suitably qualified building contractors to construct the at Cooktown Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS) Redevelopment (the Project).

A two-stage procurement process will be undertaken to appoint the successful Contractor:

Stage One – Expressions of Interest to short list Contractors; then

Stage Two – Request for Offer process undertaken with the shortlisted Contractors.

The project scope includes:

A new main clinical building comprising:

• Culturally appropriate Main Entry and Front-of-House including meeting rooms and central workspace.
• Emergency Department (ED) and Medical Imaging
• Inpatient Unit (IPU) with service capacity expanded from 16 to 24 beds
• New Operating Theatre service, with 1 Theatre and 1 Procedure Room with a culturally appropriate birthing suite adjacent
• Ambulatory and Specialist Outpatient Services, including Oral Health and CSSD.
