Carry out waste management and cleaning services within specified Woollahra Council parks and open Space Areas on New Year’s Eve 2024 and New Year’s Day 2025. Council requires most of these services to be carried out on New Year’s Eve in order to reduce the workload on the following day. All work will need to cease no later than 1.00am New Year’s Day and not commence again prior to 6.00am on New Year’s Day.

Parks will be open to the public for general use on New Year’s Day and must be clean of all rubbish, litter, bottle tops, broken glass etc. as early as practicable to ensure they are safe for public use.

Please note: Redleaf Gardens and Beach must be cleaned as a priority before 8.00am New Years Day for normal operations of the Redleaf Café and Murray Rose Pool.

Trucks are not to be driven onto grassed areas unless prior permission has been granted by Council.

The quote should include separate costings for the individual parks and for each service provided for that park:

1. Cleaning of park including removal of all rubbish, litter, bottle tops, cigarette butts etc. Councils Park bins are to be emptied by the waste contractor on the night

2. Provision of cleaning services throughout the night to reduce workload on New Year’s Day. This includes cleaning of park toilets and portable toilets

3. Supply and replenishment of amenity items (i.e. toilet paper etc.) when needed, including regular inspections of the 32 x Portable toilets and sufficient suitable supplies to ensure toilet paper does not run out. Site maps specifying portable toilet numbers and locations attached.

4. Provision of waste bins (number of bins required to be agreed upon).

5. Provision of collection vehicles to remove waste.

NB: Tipping costs will be paid by Council.

Lyne Park and Rose Bay Boat Ramp

Lyne Park is not a vantage point; however, it is the access point for the public boat ramp, pontoon and ferry wharf. This is the only boat ramp east of the Harbour Bridge and is heavily used.

Tasks for this area include:
