Walcha Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced planning and development consultants to provide professional development assessment, planning advisory and strategic planning services.

This includes:

- provision of advice and assistance in delivering Council’s statutory and strategic land use planning and development assessment functions

- assessment of development applications

- evaluation and assessment of planning proposals and LEP amendments

Interested consultants are invited to submit an expression of interest addressing the criteria above and a schedule of rates. A compliant submission will include a detailed company profile, capacity of the consultant’s team, evidence of qualifications and details of relevant experience. Submissions are to include a schedule of hourly rates and travel costs (as relevant). It is anticipated the majority of the work engaged under this arrangement will not require attendance in person on site and can be undertaken remotely.

Depending on interest received, Council will appoint a panel of suitable consultants to be engaged either on a contract basis (hourly rates) or on a fixed fee, per project basis. Selected panel members are not guaranteed work and engagement is to be undertaken on-call as needs arise.
