The TAC may collect health information about a client for the purposes of assessing entitlements and compensation in accordance with the TA Act. The collection of information includes requests for a client’s medical information from treating practitioners and hospitals. This information enables the TAC to make informed decisions regarding the management of a client’s claim regarding reasonable compensation, the most appropriate treatment for the client and/ or to otherwise meet the TAC’s statutory obligations.

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is seeking submissions from prospective Service Providers for the provision of Client Medical Information Retrieval Services to support the TAC in making decisions about a client’s entitlement to treatment, services and compensation.

Tender submissions are invited from Suppliers who can:

• Provide a platform in which TAC employees can lodge requests with the Supplier to retrieve TAC Clients’ medical information
• Liaise with medical service providers to obtain relevant medical information, including follow up requests; and
• Ongoing training and support on the Supplier’s platform.
