Seeking Third Party Logistics (3PL) solutions for warehousing and distribution services for NSW Health. Single lead provider for a 10-year term, with a focus on statewide service delivery.

Project goals

The project aims to enhance NSW Health’s warehousing and distribution capabilities by partnering with Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers. Key goals include:

• Meeting Future Growth: Expand and improve warehousing and distribution to accommodate future demand.
• Cost Efficiency and Service Quality: Enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality service.
• Carbon Emission Reduction: Achieve significant reductions in carbon emissions by 2035.
• Sustainable Supply Chain: Implement a circular supply chain model focusing on sustainability.
• Supply Chain Resilience: Build a resilient supply chain network capable of managing disruptions.

Through this Expression of Interest (EOI), shortlisted suppliers will participate in a competitive dialogue phase to develop refined solutions. Following this, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to select one provider to partner with NSW Health for the next 10 years. This process supports NSW Health’s strategic objectives, aiming for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Scope

The scope of this Expression of Interest opportunity are :

1. Market engagement: Invite a wide range of third-party logistics (3PL) providers to express their interest in meeting Agency’s warehousing and distribution needs.
2. Market assessment: Review and analyze the current contract logistics market to understand the services, technologies, and solutions available.
3. Evaluation of providers: Assess potential 3PL partners based on their capabilities, service quality, and alignment with the Agency’s goals.
4. Understanding market offerings: Examine the supply chain solutions available in the market to determine their fit with the Agency’s requirements.
5. Streamlining supplier selection: Select 2-3 suppliers from the interested parties to advance to the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage.
6. Value assessment: The EOI will assess how well potential 3PL providers align with key principles such as service excellence, innovation, sustainability, collaboration, and the approach of their models or frameworks for delivering client value.
