Tender Description

DES Streambank Revegetation at 6-mile Creek - This project involves the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of an irrigation system for the Six Mile Creek streambank rehabilitation site, covering 3.1735 hectares. Additionally, the project includes the planting of 4,816 tubestock and the ongoing maintenance of the site for an 18-month period to support successful revegetation efforts. The location of the site is in Raglan, Queensland (Lat/Long -23.85399, 150.74749). Works are anticipated to commence in October 2024.

Please see the following questions and FBA response in bold:

• Q1: Just confirming that FBA are leaving in the current solar pump set up and dual poly tanks at the site? There is a line item in the BoQ that asks for a lump sum cost for the solar bore pump – should we leave that blank with a comment? Yes, leaving current solar pump and dual poly tanks at the site. That’s a mistake, the line item in the BoQ wasn’t updated.

• Q2: Are you happy to have a hold point for irrigation supply variation / confirmation once final design is confirmed? We will be engaging a specialist to finalise, purchase and assist with install of the irrigation system, however without them visiting site, there may be some variation on cost once final design is settled. We will provide a quote based on the concept design parameters but that may change to accommodate the final design. Please put some narrative around the decision to do so in your bid so that it’s clear to FBA.

• Q3: Is it 6 or 9 tanks needed (6 is Verterra’s design, FBA tender doc info asks for 9). FBA tender doc is a bit misguided on number of tanks and understand the confusion around the two concepts. The setup just needs to be able to water the site effectively.

• Q4: Are we allowed to collect and store the plants over a few days? We have a yard and water available for watering, but as it will be hot planting in December, we will propose working from 5am-1pm or similar to keep the team out of the main heat of the day. We assume that collection of plants on the day sticking to that time frame will not work for the nursery. Need to make sure you provide adequate watering of tubestock from time of collection at the nursery to time of planting on site.

• Q5: Will grass seed already have been sown? I can’t remember if you confirmed it on the site tour, though I suspect yes. Yes, already sown.
