Councill wishes to appoint a suitably experienced, qualified and resourced contractor to undertake the scope of works for the removal and replacement of the existing rock armour, installation of a concrete seawall, concrete pathway works, modification of existing lighting, retaining walls etc. The objective of the project is to replace the existing deteriorated seawall to ensure structural integrity of the structure and to maintain public safety. The new seawall will also provide a new beach access point and improve amenity to a highly trafficked section of foreshore adjacent to Redcliffe Parade. The project also aims to improve safety of the shared path at the northern end of the seawall segment.

Offers are invited for the execution and completion of the works as described in accordance with the drawings and specifications supplied here within, the contract documents, MBCC’s Major Works Contract (AS2124) supplied herein, and any other information issued by MBCC for the purpose of tendering.

Contractors must review MBCC’s Major Works Contract conditions, and all other information issued during the tender period and be familiar with the contractual conditions and obligations of the successful contractor under the contract. This is a lump sum contract; the bill of quantities does not form part of the contract
