The works being procured are noted below.

• Install safety barriers to protect assets and people who use underpass and associated congregation spaces outside the Building P (Western side)

• Remove one (1) tree from roadside – it’s too close to the roadside and is proven problematic for buses and council vehicles when trying to operate in its vicinity.

• Remediate the road surface after the safety barriers have been installed.

Local suppliers within a 200km radius will be approached for this RFT. It is anticipated that materials will be sourced locally to provide such things as road base from local quarries etc. (to minimise travel cost). This will also help minimise the environment footprint associated with delivering the product.

It is necessary for a single tree to be removed as part of this project. It’s worth noting however that FedUni actively participate in an annual tree planting activity as part of the National Tree Day program at Mt Helen campus. This activity will go some way towards offsetting the tree’s removal.
