Corangamite Catchment Management Authority is seeking tenders from suitably experienced suppliers to assist with revegetation mapping and planning.

In 2002, a ‘Corangamite Seed Supply and Revegetation Framework’ was developed for the Corangamite region to ensure capacity and strategic directions need for a strong seed and plant supply for the region was achieved. Over the past 20 years, large-scale funding support for revegetation has dropped dramatically – largely due to shifts in government funding priorities. This has resulted in a decline in established indigenous nurseries, seed collectors and the region’s revegetation industry. This project has the following objectives.

1. Develop a stock take and current ’mapping’ of current knowledge and capacity to meet future revegetation demands.
2. Provide an understanding of future demands (i.e., areas of revegetation required over the next 10 years).
3. Develop a framework to ensure that the revegetation industry has the capacity to meet future demands based on Parts 1 and 2.
