Tender Description
Part of the endorsed Kyneton Showgrounds Master Plan implementation and a key deliverable in Council’s Budget 2024-25, the M.B. O'Sullivan Pavilion will be redeveloped to include two netball player change rooms, umpire change rooms, amenities, a storage facility, first aid area, administration/office space, and an undercover spectator area. The new construction will extend the northern section of the Pavilion while preserving its roof profile. The design will harmonize with the existing structures, upgrading cladding and roofing to blend old and new seamlessly. Concreting the southern end's dirt floor, with a finish suitable for sheep showing, is part of the plan.
The Kyneton Showground netball designs also include two new asphalt netball courts with LED floodlights that meet Netball Victoria standards, perimeter fencing, player/timekeeper shelters, spectator seating, pedestrian access paths, and a drinking water station, however these works will commence once the pavilion redevelopment is completed in September 2025 in preparation for the start of the 2026 netball season.
