Tender Description
GRDC will procure trial service providers with the necessary technical skills and experience to manage sorghum NVT trials and collect data in accordance with the NVT Sorghum Protocols. These service providers will be responsible for producing and collecting raw data to generate comparative grain yield and grain quality performance results for commercially available and near-release cultivars.
To produce the required raw data for the official NVT variety performance results, approximately 22 small plot research trials will be conducted annually. These trials are divided into eight NVT Regions for contracting purposes. Applicants are invited to tender for one or multiple regions.

Conditions for Participation:
The following are mandatory conditions with which a Tenderer must comply to participate in this procurement process:
1 The Tenderer must be a single legal entity or recognised firm of partners
2 The Tenderer and any proposed subcontractor must be compliant with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 and any other applicable labour laws and standards in the jurisdiction in which they operate.
3 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not have a judicial decision against it (not including decisions under appeal) relating to employee entitlements and who have not paid the claim.
4 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not be named on the Consolidated List, being the list of persons and entities who are subject to targeted financial sanctions or travel bans under Australian sanction laws, as maintained by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
5 A key requirement is the separation of Breeder operations from NVT operations. Therefore, tender applicants must demonstrate, their independence from Breeders (private and public) in regard to:
i. Personnel
ii. Annual budget; and
iii Equipment
The following relationship with Breeders may be permitted when disclosed in accordance with the Conditions of Tender:
i. Contractual arrangements with Breeders as long as, at GRDC’s sole discretion, they are assessed as not affecting the Tenderer's ability to provide independent varietal assessment for NVT.
