Tender Description
The Churchill St Upgrade project will include pavement reconstruction and a watermain upgrade on a low traffic urban st in Walcha.
TIMEFRAME
Council is targeting delivery by March/April 2025 at the latest but ideally earlier. Complying submissions will be required to provide a project schedule demonstrating delivery timeframes.
A general breakdown of the works involved include:
PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION
Mill existing pavement to 300mm below FSL, then construct a new granular pavement with:
• 30mm AR450 AC wearing course
• 100mm DGB20 base
• 170mm DGS40 subbase
REPLACEMENT OF GUARDRAIL
Replace old w-beam railing with TL3 compliant w-beam and terminals.
30mm AC WEARING COURSE
Install a 30mm AR450 AC wearing course.
100mm PN16 Watermain & 25mm Services
Design and construct 100mm PVC water main (consider two options for placement) and connect to the existing main, including valves, fittings, and hydrants. Install 25mm HDPE services, pressure test, and disinfect per Walcha Council procedures. Shut down, connect, and commission after sample test approval.
