Tenders are invited for the demolition of an existing amenities building and the construction of a new amenities building at the Nambour Showgrounds.

The Nambour Showgrounds are located at 80 Coronation Avenue, Nambour. As the Showgrounds will remain operational for the duration of the works, it is imperative that all works are carried out in a manner that will minimise impact on facility users, pedestrians, parking and traffic. The successful Contractor will be required to maintain close communication with Showgrounds staff and the Project Officer.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Demolition and removal of existing amenities building including footings, slabs and underground pipe work and pits;

• Construction of new amenities building;

• Connection of all services, testing and commissioning; and

• Turfing.

This is a lump sum construction contract, with Council seeking to engage one Contractor to undertake the entire construction program of works.

The successful Contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour, and to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure the completion of works associated with this Contract.

It is anticipated that works will commence Monday, 6 January 2025, with functional completion by Friday, 21 March 2025.

An information session will be held on site on 3 October 2024 at 1.30pm, to allow Respondents to familiarise themselves with the site and project requirements.
