The Gabbinbar R13 Reservoir is located at 61 Nelson Street, Middle Ridge 4350 with access available from Nelson Street. Alternative access can only be provided via Glen Eagles Drive with prior approval due to being a residential area. The reservoir is a circular concrete wall / floor reservoir with zincalume roof and concrete supports. The ladder system is galvanised, however, the internal ladder is showing signs of corrosion. The inlet and outlet pits inside the reservoir have safety handrails are also corroding. The diameter of the reservoir is 62 m, with a depth of 5.5 m and floor area of approximately 3,000 m2.

The reservoir requires refurbishment activities including removal and disposal of the existing roof sheets, installation of new roof sheets, replacement of corroded roof supports, resealing floor and wall joints, renewal or replacement of internal pipework, replacement of the internal and external ladders and provision of a new access hatch.
