Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Consultants to develop a Revenue and Rating Plan.

The purpose of the Revenue and Rating Plan is to determine the most appropriate and affordable revenue and rating approach for Swan Hill Rural City Council which, in conjunction with other income sources, will adequately finance the objectives in the Council Plan.

Strategies outlined in this plan will feed into Council’s budgeting and long-term financial planning documents, as well as other strategic planning documents under Council’s strategic planning framework.

Council’s objectives for the Revenue and Rating Plan include:

• Optimise revenue generation

• Ensure equitable rating setting

• Enhance financial management practices
