Ausgrid has a Bushfire Mitigation Strategy to manage the risk of bushfires caused by its electricity network assets. Subsequently, Ausgrid seeks services involving: the survey; inspection; and defect identification, categorisation and reporting on overhead assets, related attachments and surrounding environments on bushfire prone lands as an audit of those assets for vegetation encroachment in preparation for bushfire danger periods.

This involves spatial (LiDAR) acquisition and processing services in a tight timeframe.

The scope volume of each survey is influenced by the mapping of bushfire prone areas, fluctuating quantity of spans requiring processing and Ausgrid's incapability to self-perform LiDAR capture and processing. The timing of each survey is influenced by bushfire danger periods and maintenance plans.
