Tender Description
Via the Hope Research Fund, Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to invite applications for the 2024-2025 Lung Foundation Australia Ivan Cash Grant for Research in Pulmonary Fibrosis valued at$5,000 + GSTovera maximum of 1 year.
A generous bequest by Mr. Ivan Cash, who sadly passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2008, has made the establishment of this Grant possible. It continues to be funded annually in partnership with the Lung Foundation Australia Hope Research Fund.
Health professionals and early to mid-career researchers with a special interest in pulmonary fibrosis are invited to apply. Grant funding will commence post-notification in Q1 2025. Grant funds may be used to supplement other sources of research funding – see Terms and Conditions for more information.
Projects with a focus on the top 10 research priorities for people living with pulmonary fibrosis, their caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers are highly encouraged and will be viewed positively by the grant review committee. These priorities include medications to reverse scarring in the lungs, improving lung function, interventions aimed at alleviating symptoms, prevention of PF, and the best exercise programme for PF.
Projects which further focus on priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, are also highly encouraged.
