An exciting opportunity presents for a mobile food vendor to operate at the King St carpark, Busselton.

The location is situated within the carpark fronting Geographe Bay on the corner of King Street and Geographe Bay Road. It adjoins public recreation space including grassed space, landscaping, seating, pathways, public ablutions, wheelchair access, barbeques, shelter and lighting and is in proximity to the Geographe bay Yacht Club. Located 1.4km west of the Busselton Jetty, this mobile food vendor site is a popular location for residents to walk between the two destinations for recreation purposes.

Mobile food vendors registered under the Food Act 2008 are invited to complete the Form below: Application for Trading Permit Mobile Food Vendor – Fixed Location.

Applications must demonstrate sufficient capability to be able to service the location with existing or proposed mobile vending assets. The submission should provide sufficient information to enable a panel to assess the proposal against the relevant criteria.

Term

The Term of the Trading Permit is anticipated to commence November 2024 through to 30 June 2025.

It is anticipated that the City will seek future Expressions of Interest for this location in line with all other mobile food vendor trading locations as of June 2025.

Permit Fee and Charges

1. Application Fee: $172

2. Permit Fee: Zone 1A - Prime Coastal Site (Boat Ramp Car Parks): $4,423pa *

* Permit fees are set annually by Council as a component of the annual budget and in accordance with the Activities in Thoroughfares and Public Places and Trading Local Law 2015.Pro rata rate from date of permit issue until 30 June 2025 may be applied.
