The Veteran Community Health and Wellbeing Grant provides financial assistance to veteran organisations or community groups to organise and promote an innovative event or activities which engage members of the Northern Territory veteran community.

The veteran community includes those who have previously served in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families, and those who are currently serving in the ADF and their families.

What can be funded

Projects will be assessed on how well they meet the following criteria:

• Assist in improving the physical or emotional wellbeing of the veteran community
• Foster opportunities for community building and social connection of the veteran community
• Accessible to a broad number of members of the veteran community

Operation Thrive

The significant contribution of the defence community to the fabric of the Northern Territory is recognised, celebrated, and supported by the Northern Territory Government.

The 2023 Northern Territory Defence Veterans Strategy, commits to supporting ex-ADF personnel and their families across three focus areas. These are;

• Health and Wellbeing
• Respect and Recognition

Operation Thrive is the Northern Territory Governments action plan to make the Territory an attractive and supportive environment for ADF veterans and their families to live and work.
