The Council of Burnie City Council is inviting tenders for the collection of Garbage.

The tendered service involves the provision of kerbside waste collection for Burnie City Council. The successful contractor will be responsible for the regular collection of household garbage from approximately 8,500 properties within the Burnie local government area. The service includes the supply, maintenance, and replacement of mobile bins, as well as the transportation of collected waste to designated disposal facilities. The contractor must adhere to specified service standards, environmental guidelines, and performance benchmarks to ensure efficient, reliable, and sustainable waste management.

It is intended that the Contract to be awarded will be for a period of seven years commencing on 1 July 2025 with an option for the Council to extend that period for up to 3 further years.

Late tenders will not be accepted.

The lowest or any tender is not necessarily accepted.
